12 Million new cases of Cancer Diagnosed in 2007!!!

In addition Cancer also killed 8 million people worldwide in 2007!!!

These figures are part of a report “Global Cancer Facts & Figures” prepared by the American Cancer Society. The facts do support the contention that the ‘War on Cancer’ is being lost as the numbers continue to increase.

The sad reality in my opinion is that the ‘war’ will never be won until people are educated to understand that the majority of cancers are lifestyle related and generally avoidable. There are naturally exceptions to that statement given that some cancers are initiated by infections which can come from multiple sources as well as genetic flaws. These are however in the minority.

Will this education actually happen? No, not unless a big miracle occurs! Why? Well, the main reason is money! The cancer industry is BIG money. There are many “Corporates” and individuals who would not like to see the status quo changed. There are livelihoods and investments that these people feel need to be protected.

I believe that most of the people in the cancer ‘industry’ are well meaning sincere individuals who have trained intensively for their jobs. But…the training is all slanted to intervention and in recent years to early detection.

However, there is no such thing as ‘early’ detection. By the time that a cancer is detected it is well advanced and has taken many years to get to that point. I agree that the earlier it is detected the better the chance that intervention protocols will be successful…but only a percentage are.

The key to reducing the number of cancer cases is education and prevention. That is having people understand that we all have cancers present within us. Throughout our lives there is a constant battle going on within our bodies between pro-cancer agents and anti-cancer agents.

A weakening in our body’s anti-cancer agents which need a constant supply of essential nutrients to remain effective can tip the scales and allow the cancer to gain a foothold on which to advance. Therefore, if you are concerned about the possibility of getting cancer make sure that you do everything to prevent it from taking hold.

That means…

• A sensible diet devoid of processed foods, and plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits.
• Reasonable exercise to help stimulate your hormonal cascade.
• Supplementation with nutrients that will help provide the fuel for your body’s defense systems. An idea supplement for this purpose is our very own Total Balance that has a wide range of ‘ant-cancer’ nutrients present.

Hi Warren,

When you say processed food does that include, cereals

and wholemeal bread?

What about meat?

And frozen vegetables?

Hi Dave,

Warren is away at present so I hope you don't mind me answering in his place.

Bread and cereals are ok in moderation. I wouldn't concentrate on eating too much bread, as it can be quite stodgy for the system. If you do eat bread try to go for the seeded granary kind, but keep it occasional.

Cereals are fine as the right kind do contain alot of good fibre for your system. You can get some organic untreated cereals from health food shops if you wish, but if not the high fibre ones are fine if you wish to have them.

Meats in moderation are also fine. Try to stay clear of as many red meats as possible, but of course the occasional treat won't do you any harm! Best meats are organic chicken, turkey, and of course plenty of fish.

Fresh vegetables are best, organic where possible, as raw vegetables are better for you if you can have them this way, but if this is not possible then frozen vegetables, very lightly simmered are better than nothing at all.

Mainstay dietary products for good overall general health are (raw) vegetables, fruits, raw nuts, plenty of seeds, lentils and fish. Untreated brown rice, millet, and grains are also good.

Ensure your pure fluid content is plentiful too, as many people miss this and easily become dehydrated without noticing that this is the problem. Plenty of pure water and freshly blended vegetable juices are good.

We do have a basic nutritional guideline that I can send you upon request. If you wish this please email me at jo@xtend-life.com and I will send it to you.

Hope this helps.

Good day Joanna,
I believe most people who use X-Tend Life products and read these articles do want to be as healthy as possible, for as long as possible. (I read an article from another web site that Warren has mentioned, that living to 200 years old could be in our kids or grandkids' future.)
Having said that, I have been fighting my weight for my entire life of 49+ years. I grew up in a "red meat and potatoes" family. School bag lunches were always a sandwich, chips, a fruit and cookies. And EVERY lunch and dinner always ended with a desert, either cookies, ice cream, or the candy bar. (When a Snickers or Butterfinger cost a nickel!)
I guess what I am trying to say is, a majority of us grew up with very poor eating habits. And eating raw veggies is very difficult for me to think of eating. Just thinking of brown rice or oatmeal makes me gag. (Tastes like warm, wet cardboard!) I want to eat 'healthy', but like I believe most of us, I would like to enjoy what I eat.
Are there recipes or suggestions available on how to make brown rice, oatmeal, raw veggies a little more palatable for someone like me? A finicky and for the most part, bland eater?

Dear Warren and Xtend Life friends.

The facts and figures prepared by American Cancer Society as 12 million new cases of cancer diagnosed in 2007 and eight million people dead of cancer worldwide are truly alarming.

Without going into the negative aspects of what is happening in our world, I want to endorse your idea and commitment that the only solution to this problem is education and prevention.

Prevention is not emphasized in Western medicine, but is central in Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture, Chinese Healing Herbs and Chi Meditations are time honored alternatives and compliments to Western therapies even before disease patterns emerge.

In Chinese medical diagnosis early stages of cancer are seen as a blood stagnation. Chi or Energy has become sluggish or obstructed, and since Chi is a force in motion, when it is impaired the blood flow also slows down or stops.

What causes this sluggishness or stagnation?

We can compare this to a water flow in a natural stream. When there is a blockage, all kinds of debris collect, and as things begin to rot they change their molecular structure and through it dissolve into another form of energy. This then can pollute the rest of the stream.

Our Chi and blood are affected by many factors such as thinking, feeling, doing, eating, environmental toxins etc. Negative influences can cause changes in these fundamental substances, the flow can slow down and blockages occur. When Chi and blood become polluted this then can lead to dis-ease, pain and illness including cancer.

In Chinese Medicine early detection of any disharmony involves measuring the flow of vital energy and blood. Correcting the disharmony at this stage, for instance implementing a cancer prevention program, is not difficult and is mainly educational. When the clear Chi flows naturally we remain healthy.

Natural prevention of cancer can easily be learned!

Disease prevention, including cancer prevention guidelines have been used in China over 5000 years. When we know and understand the dynamic forces and self healing energy within, when we learn to transform and direct them in a harmonious way, no disease can touch us.

By learning the basics of Ancient Chinese Medicine a new way of experiencing life opens up and we can be effectively in charge of our health and happiness. My website www.ahachi.com is mainly educational, I look forward to meeting you there!

May the clear Chi flow naturally for you!

Thank you Dr Anna,

These are interesting subjects that you have touched on and are ones that we as westerners should devote more time investigating.

I do intend to spend more time learning more about this. I will review your website as soon as I catch up on my backlog of work.

Hi Scott,

Actually I don't recollect suggesting 200 years for our kids or grandkids although I know some people claim this.

I think that 120 years is attainable with good health throughout that life span. I have reservations about anything beyond that.

With regard to our kids and grandkids I don't think that their lifespan is likely to be as long as those healthy adults who are alive today.

The reason for this is that the dietary habits of modern kid are worse than when I was a kid or even my adult children.

No matter how technology develops, the indisputable fact is that if the foundation is not present at a young age then it is going to be hard to avoid degenerative disease.

In fact, it has been my belief for some years that degenerative disease will continue to appear at increasingly earlier ages. Sadly this seems to be happening.

However, I also believe that it is possible to slow down degeneration at any age if someone has the knowledge and committment to do so.

With regard to recipe suggestions, one of our future projects is to prepare a series of good healthy recipes. Over the next few months I will arrange to start posting some of the recipes that we have developed and which I personally use.

In the meantime you are welcome to contact Joanna direct at jo@xtend-life.com for any specific personal advice.
