Air Pollution causing Heart Disease??

According to a recent article in the Daily Mirror a research study has found that air pollution is a contributor to heart disease. The researchers considered 250 cities around the world and found that an increase in air pollution led to an increase in heart attacks.

I don’t know how they measured this or over what period of time the study took place, or indeed if the data is reliable…but, their assertion seems to be supported by an experience in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

When the local steel mill shut down there was a six percent drop in death rates, and then after the mill re-opened it dropped again. Not sure if it was all related to heart disease as the article did not say.

As I said I don’t know how they determined these statistics…but, what I do know is that air pollution can play havoc with your body’s system….usually respiratory and immune. I see examples of this all the time when I am in Bangkok and other cities with serious air pollution.

If you live in a city with high air pollution, be careful not to exercise excessively unless it is in a gym or your home with a good air conditioning/filtering system.

Surprisingly, I regularly see some farangs in Bangkok (this is the local Thai term for Westerners) actually jogging on the footpaths of streets with 6 lanes (both ways) of bumper to bumper traffic. This will play havoc with their health and any benefit from the exercise will in my opinion be more than offset through the intake of additional toxins.

Also, if you live in a polluted city try to ‘escape’ as often as you can to the countryside and suck in the clean air.

Hi Warren,

Indeed I am not surprised that it is getting worse as more and more cars are on the road.

By taking TB will it be helpful?

Would you happen to have a link to this article. I would like to find out if my city is in the 250.

Cheers,

Hi MIke,

They didn't list the 250 cities sorry.

What I have found is that most customers in Bangkok who are on Total Balance have found that they are much less susceptable to bugs and other respiratory problems after been on TB for a few months. There is no doubt in my mind and those of Bangkok customers that TB helps off set the bad effects from excessive air pollution.

In some cases the health of these people have improved dramatically.

Hi Warren,

I live in London which has the worst pollution levels in Europe,

and you can see each time you open the window and air gets in the amount of black dust that comes with it and i wonder how that can get into our lungs when we are out and about and come on our skin also.

However before the winter i decided to drop the flu vaccination which never helps really and took take TB for few months and your fish oil and for the first time in years i had no flu and chest infection, just had for 2 days a minor cold which went away.

Now i have decided never to have an injection which did never help with flu and chest infection, i always did end up with serious antibiotics that are not good for me as my body will get used to it, and will take TB and fish oil prior to flu season instead and maybe during flu season also.

Thanks for the great products!

Mohamed
