Have you been getting any colds this Season?

I received this email from Vera, a customer a couple of weeks ago which I thought that I would share with you.

It’s quite typical really. Most people can avoid cold’s and flu’s by simple prevention methods.

"Last November the nurse from my husband's Company asked him if he wasn't going to have flu jab. He said he wasn't interested because he was taking some supplements (Viral Protec). She wasn't very happy about it and said it wouldn't protect him from flu virus.

We shall see he replied to her. Anyway, now it is February and there are about 6 people from his office off sick with flu, and all of them took the jab. Sounds like a joke don't you think? He has come through the winter without flu and, even better, without symptoms of rhinitis. He also takes Total Balance and Omega 3 (almost two years now) and he's very happy with the lot"

Supplements are not intended to replace vaccines, but to supplement them.

This winter it's especially advisable to have the flu shot and take the supplement too. Why? This year there is a known gap in the virus strains contained in the flu vaccine, so it is advisable to fortify the immune system by supplements.

The flu shot is cheap and painless and, though studies have revealed reduced antibody formation in seniors, why not get all the protection available.

And while you're at it, ask for a shot of pneumonia vaccine if you have not had one in the last 5 years. Flu can be a killer, but more often it's the secondary infection by pneumonia that does the job.

I disagree with Fred. I will not take a shot with possible poison preservatives and it is not that hard to keep a strong immune system if a person is already reasonably healthy. I know a doctor who takes a shot annually and still gets the flu every year. I will supplement first .

Years ago I was sucked in too, but *every* year I submitted to the flu shot I got the flu within two weeks. Long before I found Xtend-life I clued in on my own, that the flu shot was a really bad idea. It was only recently that I learned that there are over 200 flu strains active in any year; that the flu virus is extremely fast at evolving out of the effective range of the flu shot anti-virus; that current flu shot contents are decided on eight months before use; and finally that the flu shot only protects against three or four of the over 200 strains that were active eight months before! Face it... people who take flu shots are responding to advertising and "public opinion" campaigns from the flu shot manufacturers and the FDA sits drug manufacturers’ pockets. Wasn't it P. T. Barnum who said over a century ago that, “There's a sucker born every minute”? And later W. C. Fields drawled, "Yeah, and two to take him."

My father is 82 years old. Last winter he was in the hospital three times with pneumonia. I started buying Viral Protec for him and he has sailed through this winter without even a cold. He lives in an assisted living facility and although almost everyone there has had the flu (I'm sure they all had the flu shot) he has been great! Thank you so much for your product.

I take the suppliments daily and I have not had a cold or the flu this year or last year for that matter. I am sure it is more important to keep healthy than to take drugs. I am 71 and most people my age are on lots of drugs and I don't take any because I am fit and well and intend to keep it that way.

I have read with interest the comments about the "fors and againsts" of 'Flu shots. I too refuse them after I read about the mercury used in them as a preservative.( Although my doctor won't admit this)
My method is to stop the little devils getting in there in the first place. As we all know, most germs and viruses are picked up by touching objects and and then touching the face or mouth.
I make up a solution of 150 ml of water to which I add two heaped teaspoonsful of Ascorbic acid powder and three teaspoonsful of cider vinegar ( double strength ) and stir this until all is desolved. I keep it in a spray bottle in the fridge and religiously apply it to my hands mouth and inside my nostrils before going out. The two acids present a strong germ barrier. It only takes a couple of seconds and dries in no time and doesn't smell.
It has worked like a charm for me for ten years
