Here is some good news to start the New Year, particularly if you are like most of us and have over indulged a little during the festive season.

According to research just published in the Journal of Nutrition, some Japanese researchers have found that Omega 3 fish oil can reduce body weight gain by boosting fat metabolism. At least in mice! The good news is that Australian researchers have also had had similar positive results in humans when using an Onega 3 DHA fish oil with similar specs to our own Xtend-Life...high DHA and lower EPA.

So, if you are inclined to eat a bit much which also forces up your trigylcerides then Omega 3 DHA fish oil will help keep them normal, and perhaps help with weight control.

That's really great news.

I am really wondering if taking Omega-3 Capsules ( the requirement dosage) is equivalent to taking how many fish?

That's a difficult one Joseph as the answer would vary significantly depending upon the type of fish. Some fish are very low on oil whereas others are quite high.

I don't know the exact figures but I will ask our technical people for the answer. I do know that it takes a big heap of fish to make up a 200 liter drum of oil. Then, after concentration and purification we only end up with about 20 liters of oil for use in the softgels.

Interesting question. I will find out and post the answer on the blog.
