Hi Warren.....Quite frankly, I don't need to read any articles about drinking tap water.....in my own kitchen I have a very powerful deterrent!!! My hunting dog .....who was severly traumatised by ill treatment and whom I resued a year ago ,has steadfastly refused to drink tap water!! She will drink from filthy rain water puddles and my equally dubious fish pond ( swallowed a couple of my best goldfish in the process!! ) or rivers in the forest....but never domestically treated water....I have a great respect for her and the natural wisdom of animals....therefore, I am just about to order the 'Wellness Carafe'.....I hope it's one of the best. It will be interesting to see if my dog will drink this filtered water.!!! Thanks for all the info you give us....very much appreciated here. Jil
