Asthma has Disappeared...

Question: from Dana

Firstly.  Your supplements are the most effective I've ever taken. Xtend life is simply a quality company. I take the Total Balance for Women, Neuro-Naturals (serenity or memory), Omega DHA/Esters, Bone-Protec, and Female Rejuvenator. I suffer from Severe Chronic Sinusitis with Asthma and Asprin allergy (the triad disease).

Since taking the supplements my Asthma has disappeared. The sinusitis is still there though. I have an upcoming Sinus Cat Scan and am anticipating it to look a lot better. My doctor says that because my Asthma is gone, it is a sign that overall upper respiratory Inflammation is improved. I attribute this to Xtend Life. I've had other benefits from the supplements, too many to count.

My most bothersome symptom of sinusitis is polyps thru all the sinuses and severe congestion. My doc wants me to have a 2nd surgery (let’s see the sinus cat scan first). I have a question:

I want to add Flax Seed oil capsules to my supplement regimen. Can I take the flax seed at the same time with the Omega 3 fish oil DHA/Esters, or will this impact absorption. Does the flax seed oil impact absorption of any of the other Xtend Life supplements that I take?

Answer: from Joanna (Medical Nutritionist for Xtend-Life)

I am glad to hear that you have found so many benefits from taking the supplements. This is good to hear. Thank you for this feedback.

The flaxseed oil won't interfere with any of your supplements, and will have no hindrance on your fish oils. However, if you are taking our fish oil supplements you may not really need flax seed supplements additionally. I mention this only from a cost effective point of view. It will do you no harm to take them additionally, but may not be the best use of your money.

Our omega 3/DHAs contain all the DHA you need on a daily basis. Flaxseed extracts do not add further benefit to this in supplement form, as they only contain GLA and ALA that needs converting to DHA. However, if you already have enough daily DHA in your fish oils, this is unnecessary.

My advice if you wish to add flax to your regime is to do so through dietary sources (i.e. the organic, ground raw flax seeds themselves) rather than in supplement form. This is because the seeds (along with other seeds such as sunflower, pumpkin, and so on) contain good fibre sources from dietary origin, so can provide additional dietary benefit in this way.

I have purchased Total Balance for Women,Neuro-Naturals Serenity or Memory,Omega DHA/Esters,Bone-Protec and Femaile Rejuvenator but I'm having difficulty deciding how to take them, that is to say, what time and in what amount, I'm a 44 year old woman, 5 feet tall, 115 lbs in the process of losing 10 of those. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Lourdes,

This is what I would suggest. (assuming that you are on the full dose of each product.

In the morning before breakfast, combine 2 tablets or Total Balance, 2 tablets of Neuro-Natural, 1 capsule of Female Rejuvenator, 1 capsule of Bone-Protec, and 1 soft gel of Omega 3 DHA.

Have the same again before or after lunch, and again before or after dinner except at this time you would not need to take the Omega 3 soft gel.

It is OK to combine all of these. Even though you are taking the capsules at the same time as the tablets the ingredients are not actually mixed as they are released at different times in the body.

Although I mention breakfast time etc, this is not critical. I suggest it only because of convenience.
