Nattokinase...is it any good?
Question: from Al
What is your advice regarding Nattokinase
Answer: from Warren
Nattokinase is a good enzyme and can be very beneficial in helping clean your arteries…provided it is the right sort. There are a number of different forms on the market most of which are not approved by the FDA in the US.
When we researched this ingredient some time ago the only quality form that we could find that was approved by the FDA was called Nattozimes and is produced by the National Enzyme Company in the USA.
We now use this in both our Total Balance Premium and Cardio-Klenz.
Why are some forms of Nattokinase not approved by the FDA?
The simple answer is how they are produced.
All forms of Nattokinase are produced using fermentation bio-technology. The reason why most forms of Nattokinase are not approved is that they use bacteria as part of the fermentation process. This can potentially produce some unwanted bacteria which is why the FDA will not accept these forms of Nattokinase.
However, National Enzyme Co uses fungi in which to produce their Nattokinase…not bacteria. It is a more expensive process but is 100% safe and is approved by the FDA.
So, if you are using a Nattokinase supplement and you are not buying it from Xtend-Life make sure that you establish that it is a form which is produced from fungi or easier still is Nattozimes from the National Enzyme Company.
Also, it should be in an enteric coated tablet not a capsule. This enzyme is very sensitive and needs to be protected in this form.

Hey Warren what are your thoughts on creatine,or sports supplements I work out quite often and use forms of creatine and beta alinine ,arginine I was wondering if they would interfere with your total balance premium that I now take.

I ALSO TAKE MACA ROOT POWDER.

Hi Jason,
None of these supplements would interfere with your TB Premium. Whether they are needed is another matter. I know that many sites push sports supplements and they are OK if taken in moderation, but, as I said are probably not needed.
If you are taking high doses of these sports supplements take regular breaks from them. Maybe 3 weeks on and 1 week off.
The key if you are physically active in sports is to ensure that you are well catered for in combating the extra free radicals that you are exposed to from increased oxygen intake. In that regard you are OK because TB Premium will take care of that issue.
Maca is a good ingredient so long as it is good quality. How much are you taking a day? Is it an extract? If so what ratio?

If one is already taking CholestNatural with good results would taking Nattozimes as well be a bit too much of a good thing? Thanks.
December 11, 2008 | Don McFarland
Hi Don,
They are actually targeting two different areas. The Cholest-Natural focuses on cholesterol levels whereas the Nattokinase is primarily to help clean the arteries.
You can indeed take Cholest-Natural at the same time as Cardio-Klenz and Total Balance Premium both of which contain Nattokinase.
My suggestion would be to combine Cholest-Natural with our Cardio-Klenz for say 6 months to maximize the cleansing process. This would be good 'insurance', then drop the Cardio-Klenz and switch to Total Balance if you are not already on it...the Premium version if you can.
Also, if your cholesterol levels are now where you are comfortable with them you could try discontinuing it and replacing it or alternating it with Total Balance which should help you sustain them.
The benefit of adding Total Balance to your regime is that you will also be doing many other good things for your body such as helping prevent glycation, methylation etc and in the process helping your overall heart and circulation health.

Hi Jason,
That is a big dose.
We are working on a product at the moment that includes Maca extract. We are just waiting on samples from the manufacturer in Peru so we can have them analyzed.
But, it will only be part of an overall formula.
We don't have any plans to supply spirulina or chorella. There are many suppliers of this and all they do it buy it is bulk and put it in containers. We focus on products which are either unique or have some special properties or benefits that no one else has.

What type of product is it.
December 12, 2008 | Jason
Hi Jason,
We are working on a natural sexual enhancement product that will really work. There is nothing on the market (that we have found) that is really effective in spite of claims to the contrary.
We have completed the development of it theoretically and have been sourcing the raw ingredients for it over the last few months...not an easy job as we are very specific as to the fractions and potency that we want.
I am hopeful that we will be ready for testing it within the next few weeks. If the preliminary tests are satisfactory we will do a trial/study with probably 50 men to test its efficacy. If it does not meet expectations we will go no further.

Thanks

Matthew,
You mentioned development of a new natural sexual enhancement product.
My question is how will this product differ any from your Male Rejuventator product? Are you talking specific penile enhancement or sexual enhancement from a euphoric sense.
Hope I am not being too graphic. I trust we are all adults here.
Thanks,
Thomas

Warren,
Please, please pardon me for the wrongful address of your name. I obviously had Matthew on the brain!
Hope no harm done :)

Warren,
Why is it that all sexual enhancement supplements are geared toward men? I feel safe in asking this question for all the woman out there. What about us? I am going through all the "stuff" woman over the age of 50 go thru. It's no fun.
I'm sure the TBP for woman and fish oil is helping somewhat, however, seems like the "drive" is dead and gone. I tried a few enhancement supplements out there, but none have worked at all.
Thanks,

Hi Thomas,
I am used to being called by my last name particuarly in Asia where I am also called Mr Warren. Hey, I have been called a lot of other things as well...so no problem.
With regard to the new male product this is something quite different from the male rejuvenator product which is primarily designed to help reduce the risk of prostate cancer by providing a number of potent anti-cancer nutrients.
The sexual enhancement part of the Male Rejuvenator which many users experience is a side effect, not an objective, although no doubt many customers do purchase it for this benefit.
The new product we are developing is specifically for improving the entire sexual experience for both healthy and non healthy men. In other words those men who have erectile dysfunction problems are expected to be helped and for those who do not have a problem it is expected to improve libido and intensify the experience.
It will be able to be taken 'as required' or several times a week. It is not designed to be taken as an every day supplement.
There is nothing in the market that we are aware of that covers all angles which this new product does. If it doesn't work then I think it is fair to say that no natural product will.
All the ingredients are natural and all have other benefits to the body as well.
Please bear in mind that the development of the formula has been theoretical to date and based on very good data. We have had to look at the synergistic combination of the various ingredients to ensure that they complement each other and so the end result is better than the collective individual effects.
This has been quite a challenge as we have had to access nutients throughout the world, and have them tested for purity and ensure that they are not 'laced' with any chemicals which some of these products are.
However. until we test it thoroughly we will not release it. In fact, if it does not meet our expectations we won't release it at all. We are not prepared to produce a product that could be hyped and sold as many of these types of products are, and then fall short of customer expectations.
We intend giving a full money back guarantee on this product...so, we have to be absolutely confident that it will provide the benefits expected.
When will we be ready for testing? Hopefully within a few weeks. But that is only the first stage. The testing will be done using capsules first but the final product will be in a sachet in powder form that will be taken as a drink.
Once we have established through the capsules (15 per dose) that it works then we have to refine the additional components to make it palatable. So, if all goes well it could be available maybe around April.

Hi Sheryl,
I am glad that you raised this. As a matter of fact we have completed the preliminary development of a women's version. If the preliminary trials with the men's one is successful we will move forward with the preparation of a trial for the women's one.
