By only developing and manufacturing advanced health supplements that work

To develop health supplements that really work three two key principles and/or processes must be present:

  • Knowledge: The team leader of the research team has to understand every facet of the body including, how the active nutrients are going to reach their target cells... through what metabolic pathways, what or if any molecular changes will take place on the way to the cells due to the exposure of enzymes and stomach acids.

    He/she also has to understand the interaction of all the nutrients present and what co-factors to incorporate in the formula to ensure synergy and thus maximum efficacy. This is a highly specialized skill and one which only bio-chemists fully understand.

    We are fortunate to have had our key researcher Prof. Dr. Abdul-Munem Mohammed Daoud Al-Shakarchi Ph.D, M.Sc, N.D with us from 1999. Not only is he an internationally recognized expert in his field he is one of the few scientists in the world who has been able to combine his bio-chemistry knowledge with medical knowledge.

  • Desire: A desire to truly produce the best, and then still try to make them better. This desire should override profit motivation and not be influenced by shareholder demands. In fact, to develop really successful supplements, profits should be low on the priorities.

    Indeed a profit has to be made to stay in business and continue development work... but, when a product is being developed the researchers should not be restrained from using the very best nutrients just because they may be more expensive.

    Our R & D team is given one sole instruction. Develop the BEST. What it costs, is what it costs!

  • The Products must be Manufactured 'In House'

    To produce a world class product that works there is no room for error. This means that you cannot put the control of the manufacture of the products into the hands of a third party manufacturer. When this happens you lose control of vital components as described below.

    We at Xtend-Life control the manufacturing of our own products using our own facility!

    Each of the following components of the manufacturing process is vital.

  • Ingredients: First and foremost are the ingredients themselves. There are so many variations of almost every nutrient and some of them can vary in price as much as tenfold. Contract manufacturers generally standardize on one form, normally the lowest cost ones. All of our ingredients are at the top end and sometimes they are difficult to source. The sourcing of these ingredients is to important to risk being left to a contract manufacturer.

  • Blending Protocols: One of the reasons why supplements sometimes do not contain what the label says is not because the manufacturer is dishonest (although there are plenty of them around) but rather because their blending protocols and equipment are ineffective. Our blending protocols are such that most contract manufacturers would not be prepared to follow them because of their complexity. Refer to our micro-nutriment page for more info on this.

  • Manufacturing Know How: There are many stages of the manufacturing processes with Xtend-Life products that are highly specialized and require trained operators. It also requires detailed paper trails with multiple personnel sign offs throughout the process.
