The bee pollen in Natural Energy is quite different from that found in most products. The difference lays in the purity of the product. Most bee pollen granules sold in dietary supplements are sourced from the USA and/or China. Independent laboratories frequently find traces of heavy metals present in these bee pollens as a direct result of air pollution. The most common metal found is lead. Since the advent of unleaded petrol, this is now from industrial air pollution. New Zealand bee pollen is harvested from an area that is not subject to these air pollution issues. The area adjoins a national park in the Northwest of the South Island. It is sparsely populated and has no industry. The prevailing wind is from the Southwest (Antarctica) and all that is between Antarctica and this part of the South Island is the Southern Ocean. The air is so clear that it is possible to see 100 miles most days!
